I have just come back from the delightful Ashbourne Hall setting up an afternoon tea party for a hen weekend. What a civilised way to spend your Sunday especially after a night of pure debauchery! (the blow up dolls strewn across the house gave it away!) The afternoon tea was a surprise for the hen, two of her friends had contacted me a while ago to come along and set it up for them, which I was very excited about. Once I had set it all up they then got to work filling sugar bowls, milk jugs and teapots. I also provided some gorgeous cupcakes and this acted as their table centre piece. They are, as we speak enjoying their tea and cake and sipping from china cups, I hope they are having fun, bless them!
Ashbourne Hall in Derbyshire is a fabulous house to hire out for this sort of occasion, very English and in keeping with the tradition of afternoon tea.
I am looking forward to providing more hen parties with afternoon teas and don't forget to have a nose at my website if you fancy booking your own!
