A Vintage Valentine's Hen Party

I held a hen party cupcake decorating workshop for 11 lovely ladies a couple of weeks ago. The bride to be is getting married in May but first has the very important task of giving birth to her baby boy in a few weeks! This was the perfect way for her, her family and friends to spend her hen party; a lovely relaxed atmosphere and plenty of tea and cupcakes!

Laura and Michael came to me last year to chat about their wedding cake and they had just received the news that they were expecting a baby, they were so excited and I instantly loved them both. We got onto chatting about Laura's hen party and what she would do when she was 8 months pregnant! So it was perfect for her to book a hen party cupcake class with afternoon tea with me. They were a delightful group of ladies and the afternoon was relaxed and happy.






The fabulous Lucy Stendall popped along to take some photographs of the day and as you can see did a great job capturing the vintage feel of the afternoon and the relaxed atmosphere. Thanks Lucy you are brilliant! if any of you brides to be out there are looking for a photographer then look no further than this talented lady... and she is lovely too!

Aubergine Vintage Wedding Cupcakes

I delivered 120 wedding cupcakes with a rich fruit cake top tier this Saturday to Alrewas Hayes in Staffordshire. The venue was lovely!

The cupcakes were a mix of vintage designs in both buttercream and flat sugarpaste icing. The top tier was a rich fruit cake soaked in brandy, iced in ivory with an aubergine flower corsage.

The Beatles cupcakes

I was asked to create just one cupcake for a surprise to someones husband to be at their wedding this Saturday... he loves The Beatles!

I thought I would also make 4 cupcakes for my brother Phill's birthday tomorrow and post them to him as a surprise, as he is a massive fan also!

So here they are..

The stencils were made by hand and then I used black gel colour to paint the hair and mustaches, very time consuming and precise but they look quite good and very distinctively the fab four!

A Vintage Valentine's

I created a little vintage Valentine's tea party on Friday as I had created the new Valentine's cupcake collection. These are the cupcakes my customers will be creating on my Valentine's cupcake decorating workshop too. All the cupcakes are photographed using some of the vintage tableware we have available to hire.

Family Tree Celebration Cake

I was asked just before Christmas if I would create a 60th birthday family tree celebration cake. Yes! was of course my answer. We agreed on the lovely design below and, well here it is for you to see...

Brand New Cupcake Decorating Workshop

Today I launched our new 'Tea party' cupcake decorating workshop, I thought it was a great workshop to really get your creative juices flowing!

In the workshop you will decorate 9 cupcakes with edible bunting, teapots, teacups and saucers and tablecloths all made from sugar.



You will also be treated to an afternoon tea served on vintage china, listen to lovely music and relax into being creative.

Workshops are running throughout the year and are £50.00 per person.

Happy New Year Giveaway!!

Hello lovely people!

I just wanted to start this New Year off with a little note on the importance of family. After spending the best Christmas for many years with my wonderful family including my new husband :) in my parents cosy, small holding in West Wales, I truly realise how important my family are to me, everyone pulls together to help a family member in need and support them through the good times and the bad times, they are always there no matter what happens.
